Oh, my, poor Hermione! :( As a mother to an exceptionally difficult child I can honestly feel her pain - and I wasn't even having a post-partum depression, that complicates things so much! I guess she's in a situation where logical thinking and observation doesn't help her much because it leads to a wrong conclusion - that she doesn't like her child - when she's really going to a god-knows-what hormone storm on the inside and she can't help feeling the way she does.
The worst part is that the child usually senses the way the adult feels and they respond to that - often with more sulkiness and neediness. I really liked the way all the symptoms were there, but even Hermione, who undoubtedly read every book on child care before having one, doesn't know what it was she is stuck in - because you never think it's going to happen to you.
I loved how supportive Draco was and how he noticed that something was off but refrained to say anything not to hurt her, but he didn't drop the issue either and he offered help as soon as she confessed she needed it.
Genuinely lovely story! :)
